Girls! Vote for New Badge Designs until Feb 17th
It's important to get kids out in nature. Here's a great resource I found the other day. It recommends getting kids out in the wild at least once a year in an effort to bring childhood back!
Troop camping is an important way that Girl Scouting accomplishes this!

Happy Birthday Laura Ingalls Wilder
At my troop meeting on Sunday, I mentioned to the girls that today is the 150th birthday of Laura Ingalls Wilder, author of the "Little House..." series of books. I was so glad that many of them had read the books and liked them. Blogger Laura Ingalls Gunn (yes, she's a relative) has been celebrating her distinguished relative's birthday with some lovely posts. Here's a pretty image from today's.
