WHALES!

The Whale Watch on Monday was successful beyond expectation.  The boat's staff said that they had never seen so many whales, so ready to play.  The whales were breeching, blowing, slapping their flippers on the surface, tails up, heads up, in trios, mother/calf pairs, and singletons.  A whale dove under the boat!

Extra added attraction - basking sharks!  The whaling company extended the time of the cruise because there were so many whales to be seen - they said it was the best ever!  Massachusetts is experiencing a banner year for whale watching. As my new friend from South Carolina, Mary Katherine, would say, y'all come!
